Emerald Quality Premiums Announced

EMERALD REWARDS GROWERS FOR WHEAT QUALITY - PAYMENT FOR QUALITY SCALES ANNOUNCED FOR 2008/09 SEASON

Melbourne, September 25 2008: Australian wheat growers will be rewarded for higher quality production through the Emerald Rewards payment for quality scheme, details of which were announced today.

Emerald was the first pool manager to announce it would continue quality payments in the new deregulated marketing environment and is the only company to enhance quality scales with the introduction of a payment scale for test weight.

Managing Director, Mick Cattanach, said the quality payment scales, known as Emerald Rewards, have been developed following extensive feedback from growers. They have expressed a strong collective desire to be rewarded for the quality they produce.
