Grain Buyers

At Emerald we work alongside the grower, which means when you buy grain from us you are receiving stable supply and direct linkages through to primary producers.   We have recently expanded to cover the entire Australian production area.  Following this expansion we now have the ability to source grain from all of Australia’s major grain producing regions – enhancing our capability to deliver security of supply, as well as a full range of qualities for wheat, barley, oilseed and pulses.

Emerald is an accredited wheat exporter and, to date, we have made a significant impact on the international grain market.   Since deregulation in 2008 we have exported in excess of 2mmt, in both bulk and in containers.  With a range of qualities and shipment sizes sold and executed for destinations throughout Asia, the Middle East and the Australian Pacific Rim, Emerald has demonstrated willingness and capacity to provide grain to a range of counterparties.

Our unique structure in partnering with growers, coupled with our expertise in execution of bulk cargos and DCT, means our grain buying customers can purchase grain with confidence.  Emerald offers the flexibility to purchase through different pricing mechanisms such as basis and flat price contracts, with the track record of not having had any quality claims and in excess of 90% of all vessels leaving the berth on dispatch.
